WaDImena is a five-year multi-donor funded program (2004-2008) coordinated by IDRC. Participating countries include Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen. The project builds on the success of the WDM Forums (2002-2003) and previous research conducted by IDRC and its partners.

The new official United Nations mechanism for follow-up of the water-related decisions reached at the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development and the Millennium Development Goals. It will support Member States in their efforts to achieve water and sanitation goals and targets.
