An introductory tutorial on basic principles of integrated water management has been prepared by Cap-Net in collaboration with various partners. It provides the case for IWRM and gives the arguments against those who may oppose it on institutional or sectoral grounds.

The tutorial is also available on CD. The CD contains the tutorial in three languages: English, Spanish and French. Because of its simple design it can be easily adapted to local training needs. Instructions on how to adapt the package are provided with the tutorial.

This website offers a variety of self-paced training modules that represent a basic and broad introduction to the watershed management field. The modules are organized by the six themes listed above. Modules vary in the time they to complete, from ½ hour to 2 hours. Fifteen of them (marked with asterisks * below) are the core modules for the Watershed Academy Certificate Program.
