About DRTPC

Development Research and Technological Planning Center (DRTPC) / Cairo University

DRTPC conducts scientific and technological research related to development objectives in Egypt. Principal areas of research interest include: Applied science and technology; Water Resources; Agriculture; Hydrology; Energy; Manufacturing; Health; Humanities and Social Sciences; Economic Planning; Urban Studies; Housing and Transportation.

DRTPC is an autonomous research unit within CairoUniversity. It was established as a collaborative research effort by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and CairoUniversity and carries out research projects involving both universities. DRTPC also offers short courses, workshops, seminars, conferences (including an annual conference) and lectures
